This piece is stitched on 28 count Smoke linen using DMC floss. The words Bon Bini translate to Welcome in Papiamentu. Papiamentu is a form of Creole indigenous to the Dutch Antilles, particularly Bonaire, Curacao, and Aruba, where it is considered the national language.

This cross stitch represents the island of Bonaire, NA. On that island you will find; salt mines, flamingo preserves, and scuba divers. It is a very tropical island as represented by the palm trees, surf and sand.

This design is very similar to my original "Martini". The enormously popular original version is now out of print, so, we designed a new one that is even better. The model was stitched on 28 count Smoke linen using Sampler Threads, and to add a bit of sparkle, Petite Treasure Braid in red for the swizzle sticks.
